We currently have at least two classmates hospitalized with Covid - 19

On Nov 10, 2020, Cloyd Bridges was in the Hospital with Covid-19. We have heard from his wife  Paulette that he is improving.

Jack Watson and his wife Kay both contracted Covid-19. Kay passed away and her obituary was in the Houston Herald. Jack was transferred to a hospital in Springfield. Jack has been in the hospital for over 3 months he is still very week but is improving and having therapy.  He can't feed himself yet so he will be in the Hospital for a while before he can go to a specialty care facility.  Ron Elliot has talked with him recently to give us the update.

Please keep these classmates in your thoughts and prayers. We are going through some tough times and it will likely be mid-2021 before it starts to get much better.  Stay Safe and take care of yourself and your family.

If anyone has more up to date information please let me know and I will update this announcement.

Do you remember the Bandy's Snack Shack that was next to the High School? It was moved when they built the new gym. It is now a home near where Jessie Neal lives. We had a lot of good lunches (burgers & fries with a soda) there rather than eat in the cafeteria. Lots of good memories there.  It was discussed in detail at our 60th Class Reunion.

I would like to thank Carrie Westfall Pierce, Site Administrator for the HHS Class of 1964 for the inspiration for our new site.  On Sept 30th when we lost access to MyFamily.com after using it for 13 years, the class of 1959 lost all of our information.  I did not know of any other HHS Class websites until Carrie received the MVP Award at the Alumni Mixer on Oct 4th.  Since 1964 was my youngest brother's class I ask him about it and he showed me the site.  After viewing the source code of their site and finding out that it was created using ClassCreator I had our Class website up and online on Oct 10, 2014, with our first classmate joining on October 20, 2014.  It is still a work in progress.

Tigger the Tiger (Franklin Wells), Site Administrator for this website.
